Cathy Huang – Business Officer
As the Ming Hsieh Institute Business Officer, Cathy is in charge of the planning, management and execution of the various projects we support. This includes research festivals, seminar series, retreats, visitor programs, student activities including the Ming Hsieh Scholar competitions, industry engagement, and more.
Cathy grew up in Taiwan and came to the US over ten years ago to pursue a degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Washington. She then received her masters in Communication for Management here at USC.
Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin, Cathy has had the opportunity to apply her skills at some high-profile organizations. First at Boeing, where she moved up through three different functions in the finance department. Then later at the European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan as a committee affairs officer in charge of improving ties between industries and the Taiwanese government.
