SHOT² is an academic moonshot developed by the Ming Hsieh Institute Scholars to enable high-impact research with minimal risk. The program provides participants with fundamental instruction and hands-on training in three of the hottest fields: Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Mechanics, and Mixed Reality.
This program is open to ALL levels of education and ALL majors. And, while we encourage participation throughout the program, there is no “mandatory” section, so you can tailor your attendance to suit your specific goals.

Prof. Madhav has worked on everything from Tony Hawk to Lord of the Rings games. He is also author of Game Programming Algorithms and Techniques and co-author of Multiplayer Game Programming.

He currently leads the data science research team at a mobile software and analytics startup in Santa Monica that specializes in the Twitter advertising platform.
